Hope Dweller Stories

Recently, I was praying while driving. I was praying about this blog and about the new direction God has called me in, praying about what I needed to share next. As I prayed on the way to where I was going, a song came on the radio and caught my attention. A few hours later, as I was back in the car again and praying again, the very same song came on and caught my attention again.

My Story
Big Daddy Weave

If I told you my story
You would hear Hope that wouldn’t let go
And if I told you my story
You would hear Love that never gave up
And if I told you my story
You would hear Life, but it wasn’t mine

If I should speak then let it be
Of the grace that is greater than all my sin
Of when justice was served and where mercy wins
Of the kindness of Jesus that draws me in
Oh to tell you my story is to tell of Him

If I told you my story
You would hear victory over the enemy
And if I told you my story
You would hear freedom that was won for me
And if I told you my story
You would hear Life overcome the grave

If I should speak then let it be
Of the grace that is greater than all my sin
Of when justice was served and where mercy wins
Of the kindness of Jesus that draws me in
Oh to tell you my story is to tell of Him

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my savior all the day long

For the grace that is greater than all my sin
Of when justice was served and where mercy wins
Of the kindness of Jesus that draws me in
Oh to tell you my story is to tell
Of the grace that is greater than all my sin
Of when justice was served and where mercy wins
Of the kindness of Jesus that draws me in
Oh to tell you my story is to tell of Him
Oh to tell you my story is to tell of Him

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

To tell of our stories is to tell of His story. I’m so excited to see this play out in the guest posts coming up on this blog. I don’t know what these guest posts will look like. I imagine that it will be different for each guest. They may share about something God has done in their lives, how He has delivered them from something, how He has rescued them. Or they may share how He has comforted them or how He has provided for them or what He’s been showing them, what He’s been convicting them about. I don’t know what each post will hold, but I believe each post will point to Him. Each story will tell of Him. And I am looking forward to seeing how He lays His story out for us through each guest and each part of their story shared in this space.

As I’ve prayed about it over the last couple of months, I believe I finally have a name for this portion of my blog. It will be called Hope Dweller Stories (Our Stories Tell of His) and each post will be able to be found under the category labeled Hope Dweller Stories at the top of the page.

I had hoped to have the first Hope Dweller Story up this month (November), but time has flown by and November has caught me off guard, so I am now hoping and planning to have the first Hope Dweller Story up in December. For now I think, until God leads otherwise, there will be one Hope Dweller Story post each month. I am excited and looking forward to seeing Him pull the pieces of His masterpiece together through each of the stories that will be shared here. I hope you’ll join in and let Him speak to your heart through His story shared in our stories.
